Facing elimination last night, the Victoria Generals won Game Two of the best-of-three 2018 Texas Collegiate League championship series.  The Generals defeated the Acadiana Cane Cutters by a final score of 12-6.

Tonight, the TCL features its one-game playoffs for the first round toward the 2018 Texas Collegiate League championship.  The Brazos Valley Bombers will host the Acadiana Cane Cutters, and the Victoria Generals will host the Texarkana Twins:

Marshals Fall To Cane Cutters On The Road, Losing 6-4

The Texas Marshals and Acadiana Cane Cutters played the second game of their two-game series tonight at Fabacher Field.  The Cane Cutters scored three runs in the 7th inning, taking the lead and holding on for the victory by a final score of 6-4.

Even though the Texas Marshals official website’s calendar (http://bit.ly/2t9PECt) says that the Marshals were supposed to have a home game last night and tonight against the Texarkana Twins, the Pointstreak scoreboard for the league shows that the games have been cancelled.

Marshals Hold On To Defeat Victoria 4-3

The Texas Marshals were on the road tonight to face the Victoria Generals for the first of a two-game series.  Tied 2-2 going into the 9th inning, the Marshals scored two runs in the top of the 9th.  The Generals scored one run in the bottom of the 9th and had a runner on 3rd base, but they could not score to tie.  The Marshals won the game by a final score of 4-3.

2018 Remaining Home Game Locations Updated

We just updated the remaining home games for the Marshals on the “Events” page (click here).  Some of the games are still missing a start time, so we will update those games once we hear from the front office.

Remaining home games, for now, will be spread between Sycamore Park at Texas Weslyan (Fort Worth) and The Parks at Texas Star (Euless).  If a home game will be played at an another location then we will add that location on the respective event/date page.

Yesterday’s Game Postponed After 6 Innings

Yesterday, the visiting Acadiana Cane Cutters led the Texas Marshals by a score of 14-1 after 6 innings.  The game then was postponed due to weather, and the remainder will be played today at 3:00pm.  After the conclusion of yesterday’s game, the regularly-scheduled game will start.

Score Update:
After 6 the Cutters lead 14-1. Due to a weather delay, the game will be finished tomorrow at 3 pm before game 2 of the series.

Generals 14 – Marshals 10

Last night at Texas Weslyan’s Sycamore Park, the Victoria Generals defeated the Texas Marshals by a final score of 14-10.  Pointstreak has not yet been updated with game results, nor updates to the standings of TCL league leaders.  As of now, the Marshals are 0-2 on the season.

Generals 7 – Marshals 3

Last night was the opening night for the Texas Marshals.  They hosted the Victoria Generals, with the Generals winning the game by a final score of 7-3.  No box score is yet available, nor is there a “GameLive” recap from Pointstreak at this time.

A conversation with the ownership yesterday indicated that no games will be played at Prestonwood Christian Academy’s Graham Field this year.  The team will be playing the next 3 nights at Texas Weslyan University’s Sycamore Park.
